Characterization of internal flows inside micron-size droplets during impact, spreading and drying
My current research aims at developping advanced flow diagnostic techniques for the characterization of three-dimensional flows inside micron-sized droplets as they are deposited on a solid substrate. The overall goal of the project is to further the understanding of the impact, spreading and drying of droplets of colloidal suspensions. This will lead to a better control of the features of materials printed by ink-jet technology.
This work is part of the I4T inkjet project
My other research interests include thermoacoustic refrigeration, hot-wire anemometry and fuel cells.
